Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1997 in Miami Florida. Her mother is English and one-half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an Argentine of Scottish as well as English descendance. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English heritage. She was the first born of a family with six kids. Four of them are siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family was originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor-Joy says that moving into London was difficult and she did not learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after switching from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school productions. After 16 she quit the school to pursue acting as a career. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to be an actor and her goals were realized when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
