Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British musician and a singer. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, in which he started his own band, composed of 3 schoolmates, which was dubbed the White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, they also participated in 2010. Even though he's always had an interest in the world of music, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to be a lawyer or physiotherapist. In the past, he was employed part-time in a bakery in the city he lived in with the aim of helping economically at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. It was for this reason that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles to join the band One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. The group's creation began in 2010. The five youngsters were sponsored by Simon Cowell. The band of five was backed by Cowell, and they performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were one of the top contenders in the contest. However, they finished third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nevertheless paid 2 million pounds in cash to One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
