Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney (born November 19, 1959)[2] is an American actor. She is well-known for her performance across many categories on screen and stage over a three-decade career. Janney was awarded various awards, including the Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and a Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to being nominated for 2 Tony Awards. Janney, who was raised in Dayton and Boston with her parents, was awarded a scholarship by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to continue her studies after graduating Kenyon College. Janney became a television star in 1999, playing C. J. Cregg in the role of C. J. Cregg on the NBC's political drama The West Wing (2000-2006). She was awarded four Primetime Emmy Awards for this character. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Best Guest Actress on for a Drama Series, for playing Margaret Scully's part on Masters of Sex. Her most well-known role was her performance as Bonnie Plunkett.
